A few of my favorite things...

untraditional bridesmaids dresses
loving yellow
loving yellow and black even more
everyone MUST have a Clarisonic Mia
caprese salad, need I say more?
Fav fall look, Corduroy Pants

Ok so this post is all over the place, but it's Friday and I can do what I want on Fridays! The first three photos are event or bridal related. I love the first photo of all the bridesmaids in their own dresses, so unconventional, but looks awesome I think.  Then again I'm not miss traditional so I like it, but others may not. The next two photos are of yellow tables, for some reason I'm going through a big yellow phase, I guess because I've been looking at a lot of my friends summer wedding photos and the yellow just seems to stand out and make the photos pop over any other color. I like the different colors you can combine with yellow such as the light green and the black.

The next three photos are just a few of my favorite things, the Clarisonic Mia, every woman needs this product my skin is so amazing since I began using this. The caprese salad, my favorite summer treat, I could eat this for lunch and dinner EVERY day. The last photo is of some J.Crew corduroy pants, I was so excited this trend was back for fall 2010.  Have a great weekend friends and followers!

Artichoke and Bouquets

Who would have thought those oddly shaped artichoke could look so beautiful. I was looking for new ideas for my blog post today and came across some photos of artichokes in flower arrangements. I decided to further research this idea and came across some amazing photos. A perfect idea for the fall and a creative spin on the typical event flower arrangement! I'm so excited my online searching took me to these photos!

Summer Treats

I found some fun summer food and drink ideas for any party. I loved the chilled green pea and mint soup with the heart, I think it is simple yet beautiful and fun. I also loved the BLT sandwich, since BLT's are one of my favorite foods, the lemonade adds a touch of color and creativity.  As well as the cherries, which we all know living in the NW how good in season cherries can be, I just love the little tin cans they are served it, it is a cheap creative way to serve up some treats. Lastly, the milk and cookies are such a great idea, after a night of dancing there is nothing like a after party treat of milk and homemade cookies. I'm sure any catering business would be glad to make these and it would be very inexpensive.

Business Update: Things are getting on their way, my website should be up in September, I just can't wait! Working with Sara Nelson designs has been such a delight and I'm so excited to see the finished product!

Light Pink Party

Photos: Green Weddings Shoes.com

I'm safely home from my week long river rafting trip, It was a wonderful trip despite being covered in hives for six days. My poor skin wasn't made for camping, however I'm so glad I challenged myself to go on such a adventurous trip.  Needless to say, I won't be camping for a while. Therefore, I decided my first blog post post river trip needs to be as girlie as possible! Hence the light pink madness above. Loved this light pink palette, especially that there was pinkberry frozen yogurt as a treat.  These photos embody the idea of feminism, something I'm loving since being back off the river!

Week Long River Trip

Photos: Country Living

I'm headed out tomorrow on a 6 day white water rafting river trip.  This will be my first real experience with camping as well as being out in the wilderness without a cellphone or a computer.  I'm a bit nervous, but very excited.  Therefore, I decided to use inspiration from my soon to be river trip as a great idea of a backyard BBQ or outdoor party. I found these photos on the Country Living website, they were so cute and I just loved the tables. Wish me luck on my camping endeavour, I will be back in a week to update you!

4th Of July Wedding Or Party

If you know me at all you will know that the 4th of July is my favorite holiday. I love everything about it, I love that we celebrate our country that I'm so proud to live in, I love that family and friends get together to BBQ in their backyards all over the US, I love the parades, the fireworks, and most of all celebrating our country AMERICAN style.  I wanted to put together a inspiration board of some 4th of July wedding or party ideas, I love the cupcakes, if only I could master baking at high elevations I would for sure be making those this 4th of July season.

I hope everyone has a great 4th and remember the reason we celebrate, we celebrate our country, our freedom, and our troops this fine 4th of July. So maybe next year why not celebrate with a big party or perhaps celebrate by getting married=-) I hope everyone is safe and most of all that your 4th is filled with lots of fireworks and fun!

Invitations and LLC's

Today, I decided to take a look at invitations, I love the bottom one, cocktails and cupcakes, such a great invitation. All three are from polkadotdesigns.com they have great stuff.

Great news, it's almost official, I filed for my LLC in Washington today! I'm so excited I'm also getting going on my website and have two people working on my logos.  It ended up coming together faster than I thought, but hey being a business owner you have the hit the ground running (however for me I feel as though it has been a sprint).  All in all life is good, no actually it's great. Have a great Friday!
